About Me

Zachary Hedstrom is a resident of Boulder, CO in the USA. Upon visiting the Ecuadorian Amazon in 2016 and staying with the indigenous Kichwa community responsible for Wayra Wasi, he witnessed a vibrant culture deeply integrated with the jungle ecosystem and threatened by extractive industry. Zachary directs international communication for the center Wayra Wasi.
