Neil Young’s US tour, featuring new album, ‘The Monsanto Years’, will explore many environmental issues, and Permaculture magazine will be a part of it!
The Permaculture team are huge Neil Young fans, so it really is special for a world renowned singer, songwriter and activist to get in touch with us and ask us, on behalf of the whole permaculture community worldwide, to be involved in his new US tour, Rebel Content.
This US tour launches the new album, The Monsanto Years, from Neil Young and the Promise of the Real, an LA-based rock band.
The album has a strong organic farming theme, with songs exploring global hunger, pesticides, GMOs, seeds and our Earth.
The tour will also cover various environmental and human issues, from climate change and social justice, to renewable energy and ocean conservation. One way this will be incorporated into the tour is through the Village – six tents focussing on different issues.
One of the tents will be ‘News You Can Trust’ and Permaculturemagazine has been selected as one of only five magazines to attend. Alongside Permaculture magazine will be Earth Island Journal, The Nation, Mother Jones Magazine, Yes Magazine andCenter for Food Safety.
The other tents will be:
Freedom & Justice, Move to Amend, Idle No More, Earth Ecology Tent, Center for Biological Diversity, Sea Shepherd, Future of Farming Tent, National Sustainable Agricultural Coalition, Greenhorns, California Grange, Ban GMO Tent, Institute for Responsible Technology, GMO Free USA, Energy & Climate, 350, Center for Biological Diversity (or Rising Tide), Bold Nebraska, News You Can Trust, Earth Island Journal, The Nation, Mother Jones Magazine, Yes Magazine, Permaculture magazine, and Center for Food Safety.
Copies of Permaculture magazine will physically be available at each show but if you are attending any of the dates you will also be able to access the magazine for free via our app. So, while you are strolling the grounds of any of Neil’s concerts you can have a first look at the permaculture community via Permaculturemagazine! Save the contact details and have a proper look later … after you have enjoyed Neil’s performance!
There will be a permaculture ambassador at each concert so hopefully you will also have the chance to speak to a real person about permaculture.

The team here at Permaculture are thrilled by this opportunity and are so pleased that musicians such as Neil Young feel as strongly as we do about such important issues. Having musicians and artists be a part of the movement for a more sustainable future is a real contribution to permaculture.
Permaculture Magazine Needs You

If you can help on any of the dates above, please let us know by the end of July 5th 2015, contacting Tony on tony[at]permaculture.co.uk
